I signed up months ago but never heard everything. It was 3rd round testing at that time. I have a good friend who is in the beta test, but he cant say much about it. I do know that it is web based(You will log into their server and create a room), so prob wont be mod-able(just guessing there). We will prob be at their mercy.

I talked with a friend,...., I forget who.... [scratching head] anyway ,they said it was like playing the original Q3 net code. We want sumfin to kick it up. Possibly bring back those poor lost players, that left for a dead Q4 sorta. <---[my lame opinion srry if i offend]
Update: My pal,[wth was his name?] I supposedly just got the invite. It's late tonight, sooo ill get it,but man,.....I'm pretty happy with Q3.

Okay peeps, my buddy tells me,..that if any of my team would like,.....He probably get them the invite also. It does take time, but what the heck it might be well worth it to you. He is quite nice and i dont like to take advantage too much, but he offerd!so if you are interrested, say so here and we will go from there
There is noone to offend, lol. At any given time there are NEVER more than 150 ppl in the world playing Quake4. Quake 3 is thriving in comparison. The part I dont care for is that, and I could be wrong, is that instead of connecting to a dedicated Quake server built for gaming, u will most likely connect to the person who started the room. That is how the web-based games that I have played so far work. Hope it works out, would be great to see the Quake community thrive again.

Well, now thanks to Fr8, I am a "Beta Tester". What to say about the game hmmmm. It has some bugs, I have no chat line to chat with,I need to figure that one out. If you are a tester and you set your password to start with the number 0, it won't run- (man that pissed me off, took me forever to figure out) It is of course all weapons, regular quake which is a bummer. On a plus side, once I figured out how to set it up that it did not feel like I had a 3000 ping, it was pretty cool. Different graphics that are a big improvement, and of course the regular Quakers are testers and gave me a royal thrashing. Good thing is that any Beta tester can invite five people.... it can take up to four weeks for the invitation to go through...but within a couple of months all of my friends should be there, YAY!

I seem to have issues w mine I can only play bot matches [lagg-city]. I cant join any live matches. Just says awaiting challange. So I tried the mozilla browser,no luck. If anyone happens to have a suggestion, that would rock. If I cant get it,...no biggie still got this awsome Q3arena disk LoL!
