I use a script to both rail jump and rocket jump. I logged on to the Phear berry server and the US nasty server and when I hit the bind key for the jump, it simply fired the rail (or rocket) and .... no jump.
Wassup with that? I exec'd the client autoexec file (where the script is located) but no luck.

First of all, scripts show no finesse, tsk tsk.... Second, it has to be in there somewhere, go looky in your q3 folder..... Are you saying, your playing config is still the same minus the scripts? That just doesn't make any sense. Have you made any changes to the Berry server recemtly? Only changes on Nasties is that it is pure, but that shouldn't matter

The script was there, Jeff. As is turns out, I had not shut the pc down for a couple of weeks. So a cold reboot did the trick.
As for finess - it's just so easy. The micro second it takes to aim down and fire for a pure RJ means I get my butt fragged. The script hasn't helped my game any but now I'm used to it.
Speaking of binds - is it considered fair play when a player falls off a space map and kills himself using a bind rather than taking the score hit for falling off the map? You see - I fall off alot and would like to improve my score a little. Is there a limit on the Nasty server for the number of suicides a player can take?
If you're 1v1'ing on dm17 and you get the spawn pattern _really_ patterned you can also use the /kill bind and timing/your position in the fall to control where you spawn out.. In the latter part of 2005 early 2006 when I seemingly was at my best, I used that little tidbit a great number of times. ;-)
