Hello everyone,
I've slowly been improving my system (as and when money allows) and I'm now in the market for a new mouse.
I'll try to (briefly) list here what I know/like and have been told... I'd like as much help as possible as I'm really itching to get one asap.
I'm currently still using the cheapo Dell 2 button roller-ball mouse that came with the pc. It must work on a dpi of up to (and including) '5' -- lol
No scroll wheel - no thumb buttons - just very basic.
I got a Logitech cordless optical as a gift nearly 2 years ago but I hardly used it... it tended to make me very ill when playing.
After studying my play I noticed I seem to lift and flick the roller-ball - something I can't do with the optical. I also seem to cancel moves by lifting the mouse off the pad (this didn't work too well with the optical either) So the cross-hair would swing around all over the place making me feel sea-sick.
Also - with the batteries being in the mouse, it was a fair weight. It got pretty exhausting lifting the mouse up - and I'd eventually tire.
I've read in the past for gaming - corded mice are still better than cordless for response times?
I was told the other day that Logitech didn't code for Quake - and can suffer certain problems (or skips) when playing on occasion?
(which is a shame coz I was looking at the Logitech G5)

(given the way I hold my mouse, this one appeals to me)
I'd consider any - I definitely need to up my dpi. I believe laser is the way to go for that.
Any help will be much appreciated - but like I say I'm itching to buy... please help/discuss.
Thanx
