Can´t see all my maps in Q3

I can´t see all my maps im Q3 when I do skirmish or setup server.
Is there a limit on how many maps you can see or is it depending on what mod or what point release?
I have an estemated 350+ maps inthere but in every mod I get only those standard maps and those wtf-maps.
When it would show the maps in alfabetic order it should at least show the bal-maps too but it doesn't.
Who has an answer for me plz?

I think it only has space for a finite number. My maps don't all show either. You need to remember them and how to call them from the console, which isn't ideal but is the only way.

Blame the maker of the maps.
When a map is made, if he (or she) does not include a snapshot, you will never be able to see it. Play it, yes...see it, no.
There are programs out there that can search all of your maps and give you a list.
But, be careful with so many maps...there is a limit, and when that limit is reached, Q3 crashes until you delete some.

Been there done that, i used to play quite alot of Defrag where theres LOADS of maps, i had a mad fit and downloaded a fair few hundred maps (about 8 or 900 i think it was) until the point came where my q3 wouldnt load at all! until i got rid of a hundred or so maps. im sure there is a program that was made for people that have an extensive map collection, search on a defrag site (www.funender.com or something), it compresses all the maps down into a single file (i think) and that loads fine no matter how many maps you have....only thing is to add maps to it you have to uncompress it and make it all again...ARGH!!

This could be my problem. I think I'm on the tip-over point as sometimes I can play for longer than at other times before I get freezed. I'll move afew next time I'm on my gaming machine.

I wonder if those "game-minimisors" work for that? I am not sure how they work,...if they compact files or what,but alot of gamers use. If anyone likes I could post a link to a friends site that has it.
Speaking of maps,...I am real short on them,..I think I will go install a few right now!

lvlworld.com/ is a good place to start actually fr8, I think that program is for minimizing your game as in making it small so you can access your desktop while the game is running.
