Well, the newest line of operating systems is ready for beta testing, and it is open to the public If you want to be a test rat and have an extra system you don't mind frying, there are 32bit and 64bit editions available for download. www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/beta-download.aspx
downloaded it last week, seems to run pretty quick, quicker than vista tbh and doesnt need as higher spec as a vista machine, its basically just like Vista has been on a diet and lost all the crap it didnt need... When you sign up for the beta test you get a Serial Key and im sure somewhere along the line the beta trial finishes in August (if i can remember right) which im guessing would hint to some sort of release not long after that, they actually seem to have done a pretty polished job this time, no bugs to report so far!

But, come August, you need to revert back to your Vista don't you? I would beta test it, but I do not want to be changing OP systems. Hey Young, while I got ya here, is there a quick way to dump all of the extras Vista Ultimate has without spending the next week doing it?
there no easy way to do anything in vista... www.blackviper.com (i think it is) shows all the ins and outs of vista and what u can have on, also the changes it makes to your system. i got w7 on a dual boot, it works pretty nice, give it a wee go
