Hey, one big question.... Have you ever played on a Beryllium server that had the ability to do rail jumps? I cannot find one single thing in any of the engine codes that makes Beryllium work, that even suggests the possibility of doing rail jumps. I know you were saying that Rocket Jumps are possible with damage. However, that is a basic Quake 3 thing. It isn't truly a rocket jump, it is the exlosion knocking a player back. To an Insta player, it would appear as, " Hey, I just rocket jumped!", but that is actually very normal. But, you might say, " If I can do it in Insta, can't I set up the Beryllium server with the same command and be able to do it? Well, not if it is not part of the Mod. You then are putting in a command that is Greek to the Mod, and it will just ignore the request. If you, or anyone else has even seen it in a Beryllium Server, please let me know. Oh, and Saw, your Signature is all spam, teehee

well I'm not someone who would usually comment on the technical side... but here goes.
As Jeff suggests - I'd assume (very strongly) that to achieve a rail-jump it'd have to be actually written into the mod for it to work.
Splash damage in VQ3 happens with rockets, grenades and plasma - not rail. The splash is what pushes your player. This is very different to how a railjump works.
Jeff could try typing some of the knock-back commands into a normal game and see what happens... I'd guess 'nothing'.
Also - the rail has a reload time of 2 secs (there or there-abouts) I'd assume this would also have to be upped?
this post is a little old but ill reply to it anyway....
Bery does NOT have rail jump unfortunately. Someone outta make it so it does. thyat would be cool. I like the berymod. its a little more challenging cuz it dont unlagg.
