hello everyone we had a power surge the other day and it blew my mother board & PWS so i will not be playing for a while but will be around useing my kid's comp to check in form time to time. hope you are all well and haveing a great summer.

Captain,..are you asking a power-backup type unit? If so,..good question. I would like to know the same so as to NOT waste money on something that doesn't work.

I mean the surge fuse that in fitted to a socket strip and is sold to prevent surge damage to computers. The one you plug your computer power plugs into.

ahh. I am thinking on a protecter but it gives you about 20 minutes of time to save ,finnish,shutdown the power. [btw,...I just crashed lol,now im back.]

You can buy surge protectors at any electrical store, this gives u good all round protection. Its not recommended to have a computer setup without surge protection. Same goes for TV/DVD setup and electrical items such as xmas lights, anything that uses a lot of power.
